Cosmetic bonding in Naples

Bonding repairs a chip or a small gap with tooth-colored resin, shaped by hand on the tooth and hardened with a light. It is often done in one visit.

Bonding suits small chips, short or uneven edges, and small gaps between front teeth. Little or no enamel is removed. For larger changes in shape or color, veneers or a crown may last longer.

How long bonding lasts

Resin can stain and chip over time, faster than porcelain. Avoid biting nails, ice or pens with bonded teeth. When it wears, it can usually be repaired or redone in one visit.

Questions about cosmetic bonding

Does bonding hurt?

Most bonding needs no numbing, because little or no enamel is removed. If the chip is near the nerve, we numb the tooth first.

Can bonding be whitened?

No. Whitening changes the color of natural teeth only. If you plan to whiten, we whiten first and then match the bonding to the new shade.
